Marissa went with me to the hair salon today and had her first salon treatment. She had the royal treatment and loved it.

Comb out after the dryer and her first hair cut, well kind of just took 1/4 inch off. It already looks longer. We loved spending time together. We are going to have to do it again. I love mommy daughter time. We both came out looking GREAT!!

We got a POOL!!!

It has been so VERY HOT in Vegas these last few weeks that Honey A.K.A. Grandma Shellie descided it was time for us to get a POOL! Marissa was all to excited to have one not only at Honey's house, but at our house now. She could not wait for daddy to blow it up. It is a GREAT way to cool off on these VERY HOT days.

It's true a Big Sister is what Marissa will be in October! It's true were having a BOY! Two times the laughs, two times the hugs, two times the crazyiness, but most of all two times the LOVE. Marissa has been enjoying the movie Enchanted. She has watched it like a million times. Last night while we were playing dolls she turns to me and says "Mom it isn't good to wear too much make up otherwise the boys get the wrong idea. You know how the boys are, they only want on thing." This is a line in movie and she remembered it. It had nothing to do with us playing dolls just as a matter of fact kind of a thing she said. She is so silly and cute, oh too think of the things that three year olds say, hear and remember.

I can't believe she is old enough to go to Pre-School. She did such a great job. Marissa was so excited about going and getting to wear her new Tinkerbell back-pack. She loved her teachers. The best part of going to school is getting to go with your best friend, who happens to have the same name! Life is good when your three.

How fun to get to go to school! Yes I did cry after I got into the car and left. I didn't let Marissa know I was sad she was going. I only let her know I was happy & excited for her. She was so excited to be big and go to school.

I can't believe that my little girl is three year old. She is growing up so fast. We had her three year pictures taken this weekend and here are just a few. She is such a cutie! She still makes the same faces she did in her one year old pictures. She starts pre-school on Tues. I thought going to Sunbeams at church was hard this is going to be harder. Not even in the same building as her. I know she will love. She has a new back pack with Tinkerbell on it and is so excited. I love this little girl. She tells me when I call her a baby, " Mom I'm not a baby I'm a big girl." Oh my sweet sassy little Marissa!

So we went to the doctor today and here are the stats for 28 months old!

25lbs= 13%
36 inches tall=50%

I am so glad she is finally growing! Still in little clothes. She is tiny but mighty and we love her!

A few things she loves:

~ Loves Princesses
~ Loves Puppies, esp her pink one she got from Valentine's
~ Loves Pizza, waffles, mac & cheese, shells& cheese( yes they are different if you were wondering :)
~ Loves to play dress up
~ Loves to play outside
~ Loves to read books, her favorites right now are Baby's First Book, Poky Little Puppy, The Fire Engine we read these at least 6x a day
~ Loves to play pretend with her kitchen
~ Loves dolls, the more the better it is, just like her Auntie Kaisha
~ Loves, LOVES Barney
~ Loves airplanes, trains, anything that moves and goes fast she can ride in
~ Loves flip flops, esp her Auntie's.
~ Loves, Loves chocolate covered raisin's, yes thatis right this is her idea of chocolate if you give her something else she won't eat it.

After her bath, Marissa insisted on getting her hair "blowed dried" by Auntie Maurie. She was sweet enough to dry it and even put curlers in! I can't believe how much her hair has grown in the past few months! Marissa has turned from a baby to a real beauty queen!

Tonight Marissa was playing in her kitchen. She comes running into the laundry rooms and says:
Marissa: " Mommy oh no, oh no
Mommy: What's wrong, what happened
Marissa: Poppy oh no, sorry mom change it
Donald: Come here Marissa I will change you
Marissa: No daddy, last time "Mommy's turn!"
That's when you know your a mommy ha ha!

I don't know if it is possible, but it is. Marissa was playing with her toys this afternoon, and then stopped, came over and said " Mommy, night night tired" then walked into her bedroom and waited for me to put her in her crib. That's right she asked for a nap, never has she done this. Could it be she will ask for one everyday? We will have to wait and see. I was floored when she did and then layed right down and closed her eyes and said " Luv you night night". What a great baby girl I have!

Our little girl was Princess Aurora for Halloween! We had lots of fun passing out candy to the "costumes" that came. Marissa would run to the door in her costume and say "Costume's door here's candy, Happy Halloween" and smile it was so cute.

Nursery Day

Today Marissa went to Nursery for the 1st time! We wasn't sure what to think, but after a while she warmed up. It might have helped that we are her Nursery leaders. We had lots of fun! Today we made bats with our hands and colored them. I can't believe that my little girl is growing up.
